We are not a free emergency department. The nearest one is at Whangarei Hospital. We offer an urgent care clinic for our registered patients and visitors to the area in need of urgent care.

What is Considered an Urgent Medical Condition?🤔

Urgent medical conditions are ones that are not considered life threatening emergencies, but still require care within 24 hours. This does not cover longstanding issues, unless there has been a sudden change or deterioration. We strongly encourage our patients to call 111 for ALL life threatening emergencies.

We aim to have all patients triaged within 20 minutes and those patients with the most urgent need will be given priority and seen first. The urgent care Dr is not for repeat prescriptions, WINZ or ACC med cert renewals. You will need to book a suitable appointment for these, either a face to face or telephone appointment.
